Set on a 300-acre private island two miles off the coast of Antigua, few places in the Caribbean, let alone Antigua, can match the exclusivity and serenity of Jumby Bay. A 10-minute journey by private catamaran delivers guests directly to the resort, where white-sand beaches are striped by the shadows of tall, tropical palms and – between June and November – the tracks of freshly hatched baby turtles monitored by the resort’s Hawksbill Project. Make your own tracks criss-crossing the winding paths of the car-free, carefree island on foot or by baby-blue bicycle between the four restaurants, where you’ll find bespoke smoothies at breakfast, creative Creole twists on American classics and fresh seafood washed down with ice-cold champagne (delivered poolside or decanted by your outdoor bath as you wish).
