Experience overview
As the busy day in Skagway winds down, the mountains are waiting. Join a small group evening tour from Skagway, Alaska, and travel toward the White Pass summit for sweeping views, a stop at the Welcome to Alaska sign, and a chance to enjoy the scenery when the crowds have thinned. Your evening adventure begins with a drive through historic downtown Skagway, where your guide shares stories of the Klondike Gold Rush and the people who came north in search of adventure and fortune. Soon, the road begins to climb. Waterfalls tumble down mountainsides, and a glacier-carved valley stretches out below. At the summit, step out to take in the mountain views and enjoy the quieter evening atmosphere. You'll also stop at the famous Welcome to Alaska sign, where your guide can help you capture a photo with your travel companions. With no more than 12 guests, there's room to relax and enjoy the journey. Your guide will choose favorite scenic stops along the way, where you can admire rugged peaks, blue lakes, and the unique landscape surrounding Skagway. Spend a memorable evening taking in Skagway's mountain scenery, enjoying scenic stops and a quieter visit to the Welcome to Alaska sign. Please Note: This Alaska tour will be crossing the Canadian border and then back across the U.S. border. All U.S. and Canadian citizens 16 and older traveling between the U.S. and Canada are required to present a valid passport (or government authorized "enhanced" driver's license).
