Your journey to Middle earth begins as you slip into a late model Mercedes for a comfortable ride through New Zealand's Waikato region. Notice the sheep and other livestock as you make your way to Hobbiton with its cattle and dairy industry. Once on the 12-acre set you will wind your way past Hobbit holes, the Mill and more as you learn how the films were made. Guests must be able to step up onto / off the transport with minimal assistance. With advance notice a golf cart may be able to be arranged but must be confirmed in advance. Not recommended for travelers with back problems, or travellers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions.
