Experience overview

Discover the majestic Malbork Castle, the largest medieval fortress in Europe, on this exclusive tour from Gdynia, Poland. Perfect for history buffs and adventure seekers, this tour offers a fascinating journey through time. Originally constructed in the 13th century by the Teutonic Knights, Malbork Castle stands as a testament to Gothic architecture with its impressive red brick walls, defensive towers, and intricate gates. As the former capital of the Teutonic Order, the castle expanded to include the Grand Refectory and the Grand Master's Palace, making it a marvel of medieval engineering. Despite facing damage over the centuries, Malbork Castle has been meticulously restored and preserved, becoming the headquarters of the Malbork Castle Museum in 1961 and earning UNESCO World Heritage status in 1997. The castle's expansive grounds cover 143,591 square meters, comprising three main sections: the Low Castle, the Middle Castle, and the High Castle. Visitors can explore the rich history and grandeur of these areas, with highlights including breathtaking views from the Nogat River and the castle tower. Initially built as an Ordensburg fortress, Malbork later served as the residence of Polish kings until the 18th century, adding layers of royal heritage to its storied past. This private tour ensures a personalized experience with an English-speaking guide who will bring the castle's history to life.
