Before your visit to the Grand Bazaar, carpet demonstrations and ceramic workshops will be done in order to provide you with a preview of the atmosphere and the emotions of the Grand Bazaar and to inform you about the culture behind it. Kindly note that you are not obliged to purchase anything, but are welcome to if you wish. The Blue Mosque is closed to visitors on Fridays until 2:30 PM due to Friday prayers. On Sundays, the indoor sections of the Grand Bazaar are closed; however, the surrounding outdoor shops and an authentic traditional Turkish handicraft shop remain open and can still be visited.
