Charming La Plata City Tour

Experience overview

Our journey spans 56 kilometers along the La Plata-Buenos Aires route in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. En route to La Plata, soak in the scenic beauty of the river (bearing the same name) as our guide narrates its history and the founding of the central square. Upon arrival in La Plata, our first stop is the neogothic cathedral, a monumental structure dating back to 1932 and revered as one of the largest in the world. Inspired by renowned European cathedrals, it stands as a testament to architectural grandeur. Strolling through the city's diagonals, you'll marvel at its impeccable geometric design. Our exploration continues with visits to the Astronomical Observatory and the Argentine Theater, where our guide delves into the construction process and the individuals behind these cultural landmarks. Next on our agenda is the Natural Science Museum, a pivotal institution in South America, boasting over two million objects and specimens. As a comprehensive center for paleontology, anthropology, geology, botany, and zoology, this museum provides a didactic and educational journey through Argentina's historic species, shedding light on the diverse regions and climates of the country, from seas and mountains to Patagonia. Concluding our museum visit, we reboard the bus, retracing our route back to the bustling center of Buenos Aires. This excursion not only offers a scenic drive but also immerses you in the rich history, architecture, and scientific wonders of La Plata.
